Chris married his wonderful wife Terri in the year 2000 making Chris forever happy that he picked a good year to remember how long he has been married. They have a son, Kent, and a daughter, Anna.
Chris attended Alexander Kuska School (JK-8) and Centennial Secondary High School (9-OAC) in Welland. He went off to spectacularly fail as a University of Guelph biology student due to studying theology full time. He spent a year working and returned to Brock University to study Integrative Studies in History, Philosophy and Environmental Policy. He is a graduate of theological studies at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto and was ordained in April, 2009.
While at Alexander Kuska School (on Rice Road) Chris can recall back in his Kindergarten days looking over at Rice Road Church and wondering what was happening in that dark brick building as he waited for the bus. Little did he know that one day he would be a pastoral intern at the church and later complete that internship.
The Payks moved to Taiwan in July 2009. They are currently learning Mandarin and ministering at Mucha Free Methodist Church in Taipei. They have committed to being their for three years.
